1st Soccer Game
The Gators had their first soccer game this Saturday. Even though we don't keep score.....we WON 5-1! Landri scored a goal too! She is really very good at chasing the ball anywhere on the field. We just have to work on going the right way! In their age group, a coach from each team must be on the field all the time to help "herd" them. So I was worn out by the end too! They really were so cute to watch. Of course, Ryan was in charge of the video camera and he didn't have it on when Landri scored her goal!

GO TEXANS!
We have been watching A LOT of football lately around the Seward house! Ryan started telling Landri about him playing football in college at Tarleton. He mentioned that he had his helmet and jersey.....Well that was all he had to say to get Landri interested in seeing them. Then of course she wanted to put them all on! It was too cute!
Ryan and I have a lot of good memories from those Tarleton days! His senior year they won conference and went to the quarter finals. We traveled to South Dakota and California to watch them play! Ryan was also chosen as Offensive Lineman of the Year for the Lone Star Conference and 1st team All-Conference. Later that same year he got to play in the Whataburger Cactus Bowl, the Division II All-Star game. (That would explain all the stickers all over his helmet.) So needles to say, it was an awesome year!

Weekend Fun
Mom, Dad, and Mark got to come to our house this weekend! We love it when they come and wish we could see them every weekend! But we don't go more than 2-3 weeks without seeing each other! We enjoyed a yummy dinner on Friday night and some family time. Saturday, Mom and I went to Grapevine to Grapefest. We really enjoyed walking around and shopping! Landri stayed home with Ryan, Granddad, and Mark. Her and Grandad did snuggle up for a long nap. We had another great BBQ dinner and then headed to Target. Then it was football time....We LOVE football at our house. We like the NFL, but we all really like college football. Of course, Landri was ready for the Horns to play. Since Ryan is such a big longhorn fan, the rest of us have joined in too!
We had a great breakfast at the Snooty Pig Cafe this morning. Then they headed south! =( We are already counting down the days until we can see them again!
Now it is time to get ready for the week....laundry to do, house to clean, and papers to grade!

Rainy Days
It has been raining at our house since Friday evening. So almost 48 hours...non-stop. Last I heard on the news, we have gotten somewhere between 4-6 inches! That's a lot of rain. I know we need it but I think I have had enough! Saturday night we had to go run some errands....Ryan and Landri dropped me off at the door and then I would run in! Then we all ventured in Sam's and Wal-Mart in the rain!

Princess Party
Landri went to her 1st Princess Dress-Up party this weekend. Her friend, Hayley, had a tea party with all her friends. It was so much fun. Of course Landri has tons of dress-up dresses but she wanted to wear this tutu instead. She looked really cute. They made placemats, had snacks and cake, and played. It was really cute and she made some new friends too. We also got to see lots of friends from church. It was a great way to spend a rainy Saturday.
Busy, busy....
Well the Seward family has been super busy as always. Landri started dance and soccer in the past few weeks. She likes them both. I am helping coach the soccer team. We have 4 boys and 4 girls ages 3 and 4. It was pretty funny. Most of the boys cried the entire 1st practice while the girls played. We have our first game next Saturday. We all went to Grandmary's for Labor Day and had a great time of course. School has been super busy with lots going on! Here are some cute pics of Landri.....Enjoy!
