Everyone went home.......

Well it is Tuesday morning and Landri and I are just hanging out together. Ryan has gone back to work and all of our company went home. Man, it sure is lonely here. My parents have only been gone 24 hours and Landri has asked at least 10 times when she would see them again. When she woke up from her nap yesterday, she crawled in my lap and started whining....I said "What's wrong?". Landri replied "I just need Mams!" Once again this morning, she wakes up and wonders where my mom is again! If only they lived closer! Landri sure loves her Mams and Granddad! She really wanted to go home with them! But I can relate I never wanted to leave Grandmary and Grandy's either when I was little! (I still don't like it now!) It is always more fun to be spoiled by your grandparents than having to mind your own parents!

We had such a great time withe everyone at our house. We ate LOTS of good food, went to see Marley and Me, (which was sad!), visited the Gaylord Texan, and played many games! I love my family so much! We can't wait to get together again soo! =)

Friends....

Friends I love and appreciated today: =)

Jennifer: I can always count on her to listen, laugh, and love me no matter what! She makes me want to go to work! We have a lot in common!

Cheryl: Today I was dreading going to the gym....I walked in and who says "Kristi"....Cheryl! She was already almost done on the treadmill but she stayed and talked to me!

Sarah: It seems like we can go weeks without talking then get on the phone or see each other and nothing has changed! She called me tonight and we talked for over 30 minutes! It was great!

Goin' to the lodge.....

Well I think we started a yearly tradition this weekend. We went to the Great Wolf Lodge with the Dale's. It was so much fun and the girls loved it! We got there on Friday night. We watched the Clock Tower show and then listened to Santa read a bedtime story in front of the fireplace. Then we checked out the rest of the place. It was quite hysterical trying to get Claire and Landri to go to sleep. They shared a couch bed. At one point in the middle of the night, I went to check on them and they had totally traded sides of the bed! Of course they were up at 6:00 ready to go to the waterpark that didn't open until 9:00! It was very hard to keep them quiet in the room. I am sure that our neighbors were not pleased! We headed to the indoor waterpark at opening time. They had a great play area that was perfect for the girls. It had lots to do and great slides for them. We also floated in the lazy river, swam in the wave pool, and played in the sports pool too. Jennifer and I braved to larger slides that were REALLY fast! We ate lunch and then played until the girls were worn out. They were both asleep about 5 minutes after getting in the car. Hopefully, this will become a yearly tradition with our good friends! It was a great idea to do this instead of getting gifts for each other! Enjoy the pics! =)

Gymnastics

Landri has been taking gymnastics since August at a gym in Weatherford with her best bud, Claire. Jennifer and I have to get out there with them. (Mostly for crowd-control!) Some days they listen and do everything Ms. Kelsey asks them to and then other days Jennifer and I spend the entire time chasing and threatening them! =) But I think that are learning and getting better. They will take the Mommy and Me class through March. Then (hopefully) we will be promoted to the next class! Jennifer's mom came and took some pictures a few weeks ago. My mom has been wanting to see some....So here they are Mom! =)

Thanksgiving Family Fun

We had a great time over the Thanksgiving holiday! We spent a lot of time in the car but it was all worth it! Landri had a great time with all her cousins in Goldthwaite and with her Mams, Granddad, and Uncle Mark in San Antonio. We can't wait for Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Just thought I would make a quick post before we leave for our holiday trip. We will be heading to Goldthwaite in the morning and then onto San Antonio until Sunday! I can't wait to spend time with family. As we officially kick off the holiday season, here are some things I am thankful for.

1. A husband who loves me unconditionally and is a wonderful, caring dad

2. An adorable, healthy daughter who is the light of my life

3. A family who cares for and loves one another ALL the time

4. Friends who I trust and I know would do anything for me

5. A job that I love (on most days) =)

6. A house I can come home to

7. Food on the table at each meal

The list could go on and on......Let's just say I have A LOT to be thankful for all year round!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Happy Birthday Claire B!

We had a great time helping Claire (Landri's BFF) celebrate her 3rd birthday this weekend! It is really hard to realize that it was her 3rd birthday! Her and Landri are 5 months apart! They are hilarious when they are together. They also have their moments when they fight like sisters too! Of course, they do spend A LOT of time together! Claire and Landri are together every day at school, Monday nights at gymnastics, and lots of other times when their mommies are together! We are so lucky to have so good friends in the Dale's! We got to the party early and the girls tried out Claire's new jeep! It was also necessary for Landri to put on a princess dress and high heels as soon as we got there! She shed the shoes numerous times b/c they hindered her running ability! It goes much faster than you think it would! They were really funny riding/driving it together! We had hot dogs, lots of other yummy stuff, and cake! It was a great party! Jennifer has lots of family and they are so much fun to be around! After everyone had left Jennifer and I stared going through all the gifts. It was getting late so Jennifer talked us into spending the night. It does take a little over an hour to get back to Keller from Millsap! So we did! The girls were awake by 7:30 am! We ate breakfast and then headed home! What a great weekend! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAIRE B!

Happy Halloween!

Landri had a great Halloween this year! We started out by taking our little candy corn to Cheryl and Freddy's house! Of course Cheryl had a Halloween prize for Landri. She also loaded up on candy. Then we headed back to our house for the night. At first, she didn't like the trick-or-treating idea very much. She wouldn't go to the neighbors' house! Then she watched other kids and thought she would give it a try! Before I knew it she was walking up to the door like a big girl! It was so cute! Each time she said "Trick or Treat" and then "Thank you". A few times she even added in "Happy Halloween!" too. She was the cutest candy corn that I have ever seen! =)

Fun at School

We had lots of fun days at school last week. It was Red Ribbon Week. Landri had Red Day, Sweats Day, College Day, and Halloween Day. Of course, she didn't want to have her picture made on all of those days. So this is all we got!

Claire and Landri on Halloween! (Will they ever both look at the camera at the same time?)

Neighborhood Fun

We had a family neighborhood night at our park on Saturday. Landri was excited to put on her Candy Corn costume. She has been wanting to wear it for 3 weeks! We saw some animals, played a few games, and played on the playground. It was short and sweet! We were all ready to come home. Especially Ryan so he could finish the Texas game. We will have more pictures after Landri goes trick-or-treating on Halloween!

Fall Festival Fun

We had a Fall Festival at my school today! What a lot of fun (and hard work!) We started at 10:00am with setting up.....It is now 9:00 pm and we are finally home! We had lots of kids come and have a great time! My fellow teacher (and best bud) and I are such troopers! We were both in the dunk booth and pie in the face! The kids loved it. I am sure that someone will send me some pics to post later. I will say that some kids threw the "pie" way too hard! Jennifer and I both have sore noses tonight. =) It was also pretty funny to watch us in the dunk booth! There is not a graceful way to get in and out each time! Plus if you didn't lean forward enough, you hit your head on the seat! But it was all worth it to see the kiddos' faces! I wish that my elementary teachers would have been that cool! =) Landri and Claire also had a blast on the hayride, in the bounce house, having polka dots painted in their hair, at the bean bag toss, and every other booth that was there! Hats off to our PTO for putting together such a great event! And hats off to Jennifer and I for being the only teachers to volunteer for two events! =) I am sure that our bodies will not be happy with us in the morning!

Photo Shoot with Cheryl

Cheryl, my roomie from college, has made a Thirty by Thirty list of things she wants to accomplish before she turns 30! Well on that list was Taking a Photography class.....which of course she is doing now! She needed to take pictures of someone and she thought of Landri! So we got to spend a little time with Cheryl and take some really cute pics too! We love Cheryl so much and are so thrilled that her and Freddy will be giving Landri a new best buddy in March! =)
