It's Been a Year......

Yesterday, April 25th, marked a year since my dear Grandy passed away. We still miss him all the time. It is hard to believe that we have gone a year without his smiling face, his aggravating side, and his hugs. I know that he watches over us each day and will forever. He truly was a great man. Not only to his family and friends, but to all he came in contact with. We are all better people because Grandy loved us. Although it was been a tough year for Grandmary, I am amazed at her strength. I know she misses him dearly. They were together for over 61 years! But she is strong and continues to live her life as Grandy would want her to.

We did get to all spend the weekend together in San Antonio. We had a great time at Fiesta and telling Grandy stories! Look for pictures later....I have clothes to unpack, lunches to make, and much more.....We have been out of town for 3 weekends in a row! We will finally be home this weekend but of course it is packed with things to do! THE SEWARDS ARE READY FOR THE SUMMER!

Easter 2009

We started off Easter weekend with an Egg Hunt at school. We had a bad weather make-up day so we had to go to school on Good Friday. Landri had a blast hunting for all the eggs with her name on them. She also liked to pick up other eggs and yell the name of who they belonged to! Then we headed to Sherman to spend the rest of the weekend at Grandmary's house! What fun! It was such a nice day on Saturday that we went to the park and flew a kite. Landri wasn't really too interested in the kite but Ryan, Grandmary, and I enjoyed it! We came home and dyed eggs later that night. After a stormy night, we woke up early to get ready for church. Landri woke to find that the Easter Bunny had hidden eggs all over Grandmary's living room and kitchen. Plus, he had left her prizes on the kitchen table! How exciting! We went to Grandmary's church for a lovely Easter service. Landri and I took a long nap before lunch. My cousin, Daniel, and his girlfriend, Marui, came up for lunch. Mauri brought Landri another basket of goodies! So Landri got LOTS of fun stuff and candy too! It was a great weekend! We are headed out of town this coming weekend to The Woodlands to my aunt and uncle's house to pick up some furniture and then the last weekend in April to San Antonio for Fiesta! WOW!

Last of the birthday pics.......

Well we had to "officially" celebrate Landri's birthday on Monday, April 6th! I think we celebrate for at least 5 days! On her birthday morning, I made her cinnamons with another candle to blow out of course! Then she got to open her last present from Ryan and I. She was VERY excited about the digital camera! She has asked me to "say cheese" at least 10 times a day since then! We go tomorrow for her three year check-up. I am sure that she has gotten MUCH taller since a year ago.....I would guess that she weighs just a little more!

I can't believe it......

I can't believe that Landri will be three tomorrow! Where does time go? Landri has been such a joy in our lives the past three years! We love her so much! She has grown up into a little girl! She is so adorable, independent, hard-headed at times, and funny! We are so blessed to have such a precious little girl!

Landri's Birthday Party

We celebrated Landri's 3rd birthday on Saturday. We had a Madagascar Party and LOTS of fun with family and friends! Landri is so blessed to have so many friends and family members that love her! It was a beautiful day and all the kids loved being outside! The bounce house was a huge hit....much better than last year when Landri wouldn't even get in it! She literally jumped in it for about 6 hours! She was still in it when they called to say they were coming to get it! I will have to admit that I was so busy visiting and playing that I forgot to take a lot of pictures! I know that Jennifer had her camera so maybe she got some good ones for me! =)
