Neighborhood Fun
We had a family neighborhood night at our park on Saturday. Landri was excited to put on her Candy Corn costume. She has been wanting to wear it for 3 weeks! We saw some animals, played a few games, and played on the playground. It was short and sweet! We were all ready to come home. Especially Ryan so he could finish the Texas game. We will have more pictures after Landri goes trick-or-treating on Halloween!

Fall Festival Fun
We had a Fall Festival at my school today! What a lot of fun (and hard work!) We started at 10:00am with setting up.....It is now 9:00 pm and we are finally home! We had lots of kids come and have a great time! My fellow teacher (and best bud) and I are such troopers! We were both in the dunk booth and pie in the face! The kids loved it. I am sure that someone will send me some pics to post later. I will say that some kids threw the "pie" way too hard! Jennifer and I both have sore noses tonight. =) It was also pretty funny to watch us in the dunk booth! There is not a graceful way to get in and out each time! Plus if you didn't lean forward enough, you hit your head on the seat! But it was all worth it to see the kiddos' faces! I wish that my elementary teachers would have been that cool! =) Landri and Claire also had a blast on the hayride, in the bounce house, having polka dots painted in their hair, at the bean bag toss, and every other booth that was there! Hats off to our PTO for putting together such a great event! And hats off to Jennifer and I for being the only teachers to volunteer for two events! =) I am sure that our bodies will not be happy with us in the morning!

Photo Shoot with Cheryl
Cheryl, my roomie from college, has made a Thirty by Thirty list of things she wants to accomplish before she turns 30! Well on that list was Taking a Photography class.....which of course she is doing now! She needed to take pictures of someone and she thought of Landri! So we got to spend a little time with Cheryl and take some really cute pics too! We love Cheryl so much and are so thrilled that her and Freddy will be giving Landri a new best buddy in March! =)

WAY TO GO RYAN!
I just wanted to let everyone know how proud I am of my husband! Ryan will be starting a new job on Monday! He has been promoted at Fidelity! He has done such a great job at Fidelity since he started there about 2.5 years ago! It was a hard decision for him to leave coaching! But he has been so great at it! Landri and I are so proud of him and love him so much! =)
San Antonio
We were so happy to have a 3-day weekend to go to San Antonio to visit Mom and Dad. Grandmary came to our house on Thursday night. Then she went to school with Landri and I for 1/2 day and then we headed south. Landri had western day at school and showed Grandmary as her "Show and Tell". Ryan didn't get to go b/c he has been working like CRAZY! All the stock market/economy business has kept him working all the time lately!
Friday night we went to the Alamo Heights football game. Mams and Granddad had such fun showing off Landri to all their friends! Plus, I made Landri a really cute Go Mules shirt to wear. We only made it until after halftime and then headed back to the house. Landri loved the game, cheerleaders, and the mascot, Caledonia the Mule!
Saturday we did a little shopping and celebrated Granddad's early 60th birthday with cakes, presents, and dinner of course! He doesn't actually turn 60 until the 25th but we won't see him again before then. We also watched the Horns win and MANY other football games all day!
Sunday we went to the pumpkin patch to take some pictures! Landri didn't like the pumpkin patch last year....it was a little scary and she wanted nothing to do with the bounce house! What a difference a year makes.....she still wasn't too crazy about the witches (I'm not either!) but she loved the bounce house and all of the pumpkins! We also watched the VERY disappointing Cowboy game!
Monday morning we played and enjoyed time together. After lunch we headed north to Keller! What a great weekend......If only SA were closer to us! =(

Fidelity Family Fun Day
Today we went to the Fidelity Family Fun Day at Circle R Ranch in Flower Mound. We had a great time and got to meet lots of Ryan's co-workers and their families. They had lunch, drinks, bounce houses, train rides, pony rides, crafts, a hay ride, and much more! It was great for all ages and adults. Landri enjoyed the pony ride the most. We had to wait a LONG time for our turn so I am glad that she did actually get on! She has never wanted to get on Honey (her bff's horse) so I wasn't sure she would today. But she did and looked like such a big girl. She made some friends too. She really loved the bounce house. She also made some sand art, a necklace, and sticker picture. Landri also liked the train ride. We had a great time as a family!

Zoo Fun
We had such a great time Saturday at the FW Zoo. We met Sarah (my roommate from college), her mom, and her little boy, Owen for a day of fun at the zoo. When met in the parking lot, Owen was sound asleep. By the time we got to the animals, he had perked up though. It was so cute to listen and watch Owen and Landri. Landri liked to tell Owen what the animals were and Owen like to copy Landri. He also entertained us by saying "Bad dog" many times. It was too cute! We visited some of the animals before we ate lunch. They really liked the zebras, elephants, and tigers. Landri decided that the penguins were stinky and was not a fan of the monkey/gorillas either. Owen and Landri were great all day! We let them get out of their strollers a few times. Landri loved to hold Owen's hand! We stayed for almost 4 hours and then headed to the gift shop before we left. Landri picked out a zebra to take home and Owen tried on visors. Then we said our good-byes and headed home. Of course, Landri was asleep in the car in about 5 minutes!
It was so great to see Sarah and her mom again (Owen too of course). We have seen each other a few times since college at weddings, baby showers, and birthday parties. But it sure was nice to just spend the day together. We had the best times together in college! Sometimes a litte too much fun! =) Her and Andy live in Salado so we don't get to see the very often. But it sure is good to have a friend like her that I know I can still count on! We can't wait to see them again!
