Only My Daughter.........

Well it has been one long week at the Seward house! We did get to have Grandmary at our house for 2 nights while Ryan was in Alabama for work, so that was the highlight of our week! We get to see her again in less than 6 days! YEAH!
On Wednesday night, Landri started breaking out in a rash. It got worse on Thursday and it was EVERYWHERE! Lots of hives too! We couldn't imagine where she got this from! I called her pediatrician on Thursday and explained the situation. The nurse told me it could last for 4-5 days and as long as it wasn't affecting her breathing or running a fever, just give her Benadryl and ride it out. Well, Friday morning it was A LOT worse! By late morning, it wasn't not any better! I called again and the said bring her in.
After taking one look at her, her doctor said she definitely had an allergic reaction to either food or medicine! Landri had been on an antibiotic for a sinus infection until Wed! (The day the rash started!) So she was allergic to the antibiotic Omnicef......It turns out that we found out about a year ago that she is also allergic to penicillin! So 2 types now! GREAT! We may eventually have to see an allergist for further testing to see if she has an antibiotic allergy! What a mess!
I also feel so sorry for her! She is scratching herself like crazy and very grumpy! I guess I would be too! So she is taking Claritin and Benadryl for now. Hopefully it will clear up this weekend!

25 Random Things About Me......

Since I have spent time reading these on others blogs lately....I thought I would me my own!

1. I LOVE ketchup! I eat it on just about anything!
2. I talk to my mom everyday at least twice!
3. I am addicted to chapstick! I use Burt's Bees ALL the time!
4. I have MANY kids' movies memorized from just listening to them in the car everyday! I haven't even actually seen most of them!
5. I am now also addicted to selling things on Ebay!
6. I am an only granddaughter!
7. I drink water and LOTS of it everyday!
8. I seem to always be on a diet! I am actually doing great right now! YEAH!
9. I love to snuggle and read books to Landri at night!
10. I like to color with crayons!
11. I try to always leave my classroom clean every day! I hate coming back to a mess!
12. Number 11 also applies to my house!
13. So......I would say that I like things nice and clean!
14. I never leave home without my cell phone!
15. I love to watch sports! (live or on TV)
16. I love to paint Landri's toe and finger nails! It looks so cute!
17. I am now a coffee drinker!
18. I am becoming craftier as I get older!
19. Speaking of older, I am closing in on 30!
20. I love to go on vacation......either the mountains or the beach!
21. I find it hard to say no when someones asks me to help/do something!
22. I take LOTS of pictures!
23. I had a goal of scrapbooking for Landri......I have only made it to her first 12 months!
24. I don't like being at home alone at night.

Valentine's Day, San Antonio, the FLU.......

Well you may be wondering why I am blogging at 9:45 am on a Tuesday....Shouldn't I be at school? Well, Landri is at home with the flu! She started running a fever and not feeling so well on Sunday as we were leaving San Antonio. Ryan didn't have to work yesterday so she stayed home with him. I took her to the doctor yesterday afternoon and after a lovely "swab" of her nose, it was confirmed! Landri has to flu! YUCK! It has been going around at school and our BFF, Claire, is also at home with it. So it was probably inevitable that she would get it. I did learn that she has Strand A of the flu virus, which is protected by the flu shot but NOT the flu mist! Of course, I had a flu shot and Landri had the flu mist! As of right now, we are home today and tomorrow. As I am typing, she is asleep in our bed! Poor thing!

We did have a great weekend in SA though. We got there late Friday night! You should have seen how Mams decorated her house for Landri and Valentine's Day! Only Mams would go to so much trouble just for Landri! She had pink and red balloons everywhere, hearts, and lots of goodies for her Valentine, Landri! It was so sweet! We went to the stockshow to walk around on Sat. Next year, we will be getting tickets to actually see the rodeo! We met Granddad for lunch b/c he was VERY busy with Mule Athletic events all day Sat. Then went home for a nap. Sunday we slept in and just were lazy until it was time to head north! It is always hard to leave!

Last week Landri did have her Valentine's party at school. Of course, she ate ALL her snacks and candy! She does LOVE to eat! =)

I also had to add the picture of her in the navy dress! It makes her look so grown up! I can't believe that she will be three in about 6 weeks! Where did the time go? I think we will just turn around and we will be getting ready for Kindergarten! =)

Double Trouble!

We had a fun time on Thursday night! Jennifer went to Austin for a conference for school last week. So on Thursday, Claire come home with us and spent the night. They were so excited to have a slumber party together! They love each other so much! The second we walked in the door, they stripped off their clothes and put on dress up dresses and high heels! Then they ran around the backyard! It was too funny! Of course, they had a few small arguments over things. But overall, they were great! We had grilled cheese, french fries, and oranges (upon request) for dinner. They loved playing in the bathtub! After bathtime, they danced around like crazy people with Ryan! The picture doesn't do the dancing justice at all......They were hiliarious! Then it was time for bed! We (Landri, Claire, and I) all piled in Landri's bed and read some books. They really wanted to sleep together but after 2 minutes, I realized that was NOT going to work! SO Landri went to our room with Ryan and I stayed with Claire. They were really good about going to sleep! About 4:30 Claire joined Landri and I in bed. We got up, had waffles for breakfast, and then headed to school. They did want to wear matching clothes to school! We did have to find "show and tell" for both of them. Luckily I found 2 princess wands for them. It will be so much fun when they get a little older to have lots of sleepovers!

Sweet Landri......

What a sweet girl we have! She does have her "less than sweet" moments but for the most part she is REALLY good! Of course, we think she is so smart and has a great personality! =) She loves to dress up and play outside! She would play outside everyday no matter what the weather! I do have to admit that she has inherited the "klutz" gene from her mother! In less than 24 hours last week, she managed to give herself two bumps on her forehead! The first one was during the Super Bowl party and some friends house. All the kids were playing outside, Landri pushed a swing and it came back and hit her right in the head! She didn't cry or say anything about it. I just noticed when they all came inside! The second time was leaving school on Monday. I opened the back door and she promptly walked right into it! Just thought I would share some cute pics!
